Humidifiers

Changing your whole-house humidifier water panel once a season will increase your family's level of comfort and protect your valuable furnishings. Also when you inspect your water panel remember to check both sides.
  • Dry Air Difficulties

The recommended indoor relative humidity is 35% and up to 45% in warmer climates or where special construction prevails - and not all humidifiers have the capacity to reach these levels. Doctors have often mentioned dry air as one of the causes for nose, throat, and other physical aggravations. Heated air dries out and shrinks wood framing around doors and window frames. Gaps occur, permitting cold outside air infiltration. Heat loss and higher heating costs are often the results. Heated, parched air causes separation of wood in floors, trim and furniture... excessive wear of fabrics and carpets... loss of piano tone quality... wall and ceiling cracks... plant damage and annoying static shocks are also a by-product of dry air.

Northern Colorado Air Heating, Air Conditioning, Humidifier

  • Honeywell has the answer

HoneywellProper humidity reduces heating costs by stopping wood shrinkage, which reduces cold air infiltration around door and window frames. In turn, you'll feel warm at lower temperatures. You can actually dial down your thermostat and still be comfortable. In cases where excessive dry air has been the cause of physical aggravations, doctors have prescribed whole-house humidification. Furnishings are protected with proper humidity, too -- reducing the damaging effects of heated, parched air upon everything from your wood floors to plants.

  • Honeywell: Safe and proven

Honeywell humidifiers enhance and protect your home by maintaining the most comfortable humidity level automatically. Flow-through humidification directs the airflow from your heating and cooling systems to pass through a moisture-filled pad in the patented PerfectFlo tray, so the air stream picks up moisture evenly and distributes it throughout your home.

Air Cleaners

There are some very important things that you should do to extend the life of your home comfort system and keep it working at peak efficiency at all times. One of the most important things you can do is change your air conditioner or furnace filter.
Every home is different and there are many factors that affect how long you should wait between filter changes. Wait too long and the efficiency of the equipment will deteriorate and operating costs go up. Here is an easy way to remember when to change your filter:
Tip: Change a 1" filter every month, a 2" filter every 2 months and a 4' filter every 6 months.

Good - Honeywell F200 Self-Charging Air Filter: The environmental filter

      • Performs 3 times better than a typical disposable furnace filter.
      • Meets American Lung Association Health House guidelines.
      • Installs easily; requires no alteration to ductwork and no extra wiring.
      • Durable and long-lasting; no parts to break or wear out (5-year warranty).
      • Washable, reusable, self-charging filter does not need replacements that eventually jam up landfills.

Better - Lennox Merv 16: Healthy Climate filter

      • #1 rated professionally installed, whole-home filtration system as ranked by a leading consumer magazine.
      • Traps particles as small as .3 micron including most pollen, plant spores, and dust.
      • No ozone emissions, a known lung irritant.
      • Helps maintain heating/cooling equipment operating efficiency.
      • Durable filters last up to one year.
      • Fits any furnace (including the new 40-inch furnaces).

Best - Lennox Pure Air: The healthy home filter

      • Cleans the air in your home better than any other single system you can buy.
      • Traps particles as small as .01 micron including allergens, such as pollen and dust mite debris, and microscopic particles including bacteria and viruses.
      • Effectively removes up to 97% of airborne particles.
      • Removes and destroys approximately 50% of household odors and chemical vapors in a 24-hour period.
      • Reduces and destroys ozone.
      • Performs 30 times better than a typical disposable furnace filter.
      • Protects the operating efficiency of your heating and cooling equipment, providing a 10 to 15% savings in operating costs.
      • Fits any furnace (including the new 40-inch furnaces).
